1. Spring is Here!
With spring comes new life and rejuvenation, and hopefully, a new source of creativity! How has spring inspired you? Share with us what you’re working on here in the forums.
2. Let’s Get Buzzing!
A hive of bees can’t function without all its members! Last week our meeting was canceled due to lack of attendance. Let’s get this team back up to speed by buzzing with participation. Hang out in the forums, contribute and article to the blog, brainstorm event ideas, add your buzz to the mix by commenting on the website, or volunteer your time to help out the team. These are just a few ways you can contribute. Email info@beeswaxteam.com if you have any ideas!
Thanks,
Kathryn and Melissa

The Conrad Wilde Gallery in Tuscon, Arizona is now accepting submissions for its Fifth Annual Encaustic Exhibition. Any 2D or 3D work is eligible, and the applications are accepted by “snail mail” only. The exhibition will take place in March 2010, but the deadline is fast approaching: October 25, 2009. Have you submitted? Are you planning on it? I think it’d be great if a couple of our members were selected for this show!

Hi BEEs,
We’re making some more adjustments to the look of this site. Announcements and any relevant new information will be posted here on the front page. Here’s the latest buzz:
1) You can find weekly interviews with BEE members by looking for the page: “Weekly Buzz”. Be sure to check them out each week. They are very informative and a GREAT way to get to know some cool stuff about each other.
2) A new honey topic has been posted in “the honeycomb.” BEE member Melissa Hronkin explains some of the ins and outs of beekeeping.
3) Holiday Gift exchange is coming very soon!
4) Forums. If you haven’t participated in our ongoing discussions, join us! You can always find us by looking in the Forums under the Community section. Do a search for our team tag: beeswaxteam
5) New members. We are gaining new members each week. If you know someone who may be interested in joining, please let me know by sending me (Newbyart) a convo through etsy. At this time, we are open to having non-etsy members join the team as well. Thanks!
6) New call for art. Be sure to check out the “Calls for Art” section for information on R&F’s biennial show. It’d be great for many of us to submit work!
